8 Must Have Apps for Any FFA Member
It turns out that iPhone in your pocket is useful for more than sending snaps, posting to Instagram, and rocking out to your favorite Spotify playlist. Here’s a few apps you might not have already that will make your life as an FFA member much easier.
GroupMe / Facebook Messenger
Officer teams and committees rely on streamlined forms of communication. Chances are, not everyone has the same type of phone, so apps like GroupMe and Messenger open the door for all. Sending gifs and links has never been easier.
A chapter treasurer’s best friend, Venmo keeps everyone accountable for their funds. Have to spot someone for a meal when coming home from a contest? Don’t worry about asking them to pay up at school the next day - they can send you money right then and there.
Google: Drive, Calendar, Photos
These Google apps are lumped together because they all help make files, events, and photos readily available for anyone who has the link. Your advisor is tired of answering the same questions over and over again and you’re tired of asking them.
If you’re an active FFA member, chances are you’re also involved in another club or sport on top of your classes which means your time is precious. Gboard has a swipe feature, built-in emoji and gif search, and you can even customize how it looks. Texts and tweets will send off so fast it’s like you typed them with your mind.
Getting a license while being in the FFA puts you at the top of everyone’s list - of asking for rides home. Save yourself some green by using GasBuddy to find the cheapest prices (although there’s no helping if your town only has one gas station.)
